Tisi ki Chutney (Flax seeds Chutney)
Tisi ki chutney is an Indian spicy sauce rich with flavors which is prepared from flax seeds and other locally available spices. It tastes great with bread, chapatti and very popular in Bihar, Jharkhand. It is used to balance the dish and enhance the taste of meal.

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for Teesi ki Chutney
½ cup Flax seeds
2 tablespoons Sesame oil
25-30 Garlic cloves smashed
8-10 Dried red Chillies
3 tablespoon sesame seeds
Rock salt to taste
- Heat a non-stick pan and add flax seeds and sesame seeds. Saute the seeds in a low flame for 3-5 minutes till sesame seeds starts crackle. Remove the mixture from pan and allow to cool.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add garlic. Saute garlic till golden brown. Then add Chillies and saute in low flame till it become crisp.
- Transfer all the contents into a mixture and grind. Add rock salt and water to mixture and grind to make thick paste.
- Transfer the content to a bowl and it is ready to serve.
